What the numbers mean

The minerals in your water

What the abbreviations on labels stand for, and what they do in your body.

  • pH

    7.6

Shows how acidic or alkaline water is. 7 is neutral; 6.5–9.5 is suitable for drinking water.

  • Total dissolved solids (TDS)

    286mg/L

The total of minerals dissolved in water. Low-to-medium TDS gives a light, easy-drinking taste.

  • Hardness

    25.4Fr°

Comes from calcium and magnesium. Medium hardness tastes balanced and limits limescale in appliances.

  • Calcium

    72.4mg/L

Needed for healthy bones and teeth, muscle contraction and nerve signalling.

  • Magnesium

    17.9mg/L

Important for energy metabolism, muscle relaxation and heart rhythm.

  • Sodium

    11.8mg/L

Helps regulate fluid balance. Low sodium suits anyone watching their salt intake.

  • Potassium

    1.2mg/L

Works with sodium to regulate cellular fluid balance and muscle function.

  • Bicarbonate

    291mg/L

Gives water a soft mouthfeel and helps balance stomach acidity.

  • Chloride

    21.6mg/L

A naturally occurring ion and a component of digestive fluids.

  • Sulphate

    24.8mg/L

Comes from natural rock. Low levels keep the taste soft.

  • Nitrate

    6.4mg/L

An indicator of source purity; low levels point to a source free from agricultural influence.

  • Fluoride

    0.14mg/L

In small amounts helps protect tooth enamel; it must stay below the legal limit.

From spring to door

How we bottle

From the moment it leaves the spring until it reaches you, our water passes five controlled stages.

  1. 01

    Spring

Years of natural filtration through the limestone layers of the Kyrenia Mountains.

  2. 02

    Filtration

Multi-stage micron filtration removes suspended particles.

  3. 03

    UV & ozone

Disinfection with ultraviolet light and ozone — no chemical additives.

  4. 04

    Hygienic filling

Washed and sterilised bottles are filled and sealed in a closed system.

  5. 05

    Shaded delivery

Delivered on planned routes in vehicles that keep bottles out of the sun.

About water quality

All questions
Where can I see your lab reports?

Our current and past lab reports are listed parameter by parameter on the Water Quality page, where the report PDFs can also be downloaded.

How are the jugs cleaned?

Every returned jug is visually inspected; suitable ones are pre-washed, washed, sanitised and rinsed on an automated line before filling. Damaged or unsuitable jugs are removed and sent for recycling.

What is the shelf life and how should I store it?

The best-before date is printed on the pack. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and strong-smelling substances such as detergents or fuel. Opened jugs are best consumed within a few days.
